Rajapuri Mangoes from Maharashtra
Rajapuri Mango is one of the most popular, nutritionally rich fruits with a unique flavor, fragrance, taste, and heath promoting qualities making it a common ingredient in new functional foods often labeled “super fruits".
Rajapuri mango is one of the biggest of Indian mangoes with a roundish oval shape.
It takes about 5 to 8 days to ripen after being plucked. It has a rich and deep green colour when raw and gets a soft yellow, orange and red tint all over when it ripens.
Raw Rajapuri is used to make pickles – spicy and sweet, and also made into juice called mango panha.
Ripe Rajapuri has a unique sweet taste and has no fibre. Can also be used to make Mangoe Juice (Ras)
The size varies between 500gms to 1 kg per piece.
